Year of Intentionality

By: Alyssa Uribe, SDSU Chapter Member

2021 could not have come quick enough. It seems we were waiting for 2020 to end as soon as it began. After some time of reflection, I made a plan of change for the future. I have decided that 2021 will be a year of intentionality. For months I sat idly doing things to pass the time as I quarantined at home. This, of course, is no way to live. Although I will continue to socially distance myself, I intend to carry out my days with purpose. Intentionality has become ever so important as my undergraduate career is coming to a close. My future is quickly approaching. I have no choice but to make the most of my last semester of college and move into a new chapter of my life. I'm determined to start on the right foot. This year I plan to be intentional with my time, relationships, and goals. All three of which require care and attention. I refuse to continue wasting hours on TikTok, letting relationships fade, and pushing aside my aspirations. It is high time I take my life back. I will begin by spending time on the things that are most important in my life. My daily efforts will perpetuate the promises I made to myself. Every morning, I will wake up eager for another day of prosperity and intentionality.
